Staff Recital on April 25th!

We are excited to announce that Sunburst School of Music will be hosting our 3rd Annual Staff Recital on Saturday, April 25th! This special evening will feature performances by our talented instructors, showcasing their incredible artistry across a variety of musical styles. From classical to contemporary, you’ll experience the same passion and skill that inspire our students every day.

Date: Saturday, April 25th

Time: 7:00 PM

Cost: $10 per ticket

This event is not just an opportunity to enjoy an evening of amazing music, but it is also a chance to support a great cause. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the Sunburst Scholarship Fund, helping provide music education opportunities to students who might not otherwise be able to afford them.

Tickets will be available starting Wednesday, March 25th. There is only one session, and seating is limited, so be sure to get your tickets fast to secure your spot. We can’t wait to see you there!

Music Together Spring Enrollment

Our next session of Music Together kicks off the week of April 6! Open enrollment will begin March 18. Music Together classes are perfect for babies, toddlers, and preschoolers (and the grownups who love them). Classes are 45 minutes of singing, dancing, and instrument play that builds a foundation for a lifetime of music-making!

Spring Break Camp and NEW Summer Camps!

Spring Break Camp is almost here and we only have a few spots left! If you've been thinking about it, now's the time to sign up before they're gone! It's a week packed with music, creativity, and fun. Kids will get to explore instruments, jam with friends, and put on a mini showcase at the end of the week. Whether your child is a seasoned player or just curious about music, camp is a blast for everyone.

And we've got even more good news: we're adding two weeks of summer camp this year, June 15–19 and July 13–17. Sign up now on our website!

See the Thanakarn Limtham Trio perform here at Sunburst on March 21st at 7pm! This trio features Thanakarn Limtham on the keys, Charlie Scott on bass, and Stephen Weinstein on drums.

Free Classes this Month

Music Producers Meet Up - Friday, March 13th

The Sunburst Producers Meet-Up is a free monthly gathering hosted by our instructor Charlie Scott for teen producers ages 14 and up to share their works in progress and receive feedback from peers. This group meets on the second Friday of every month from 7–9pm.

Songwriter Group Share - Sunday, March 15th

Are you a seasoned or new songwriter looking to share music and get some peer feedback? Bring your instrument, voice, and what you’re working on to our monthly songwriting group, peer facilitated by Abbey Martin. This group is open to all adults ages 18+ and meets on the third Sunday of each month from 3–5pm.

Piano Club - Friday, March 21st

Piano Club is a free monthly class led by Jaime Cohen, full of games, music education, and piano fun! This club is a great opportunity for our piano students to build music theory skills, play interactive games like Music Jeopardy, and gain performance experience.

Age Groups

Ages 5–7 - 5:30–6:15pm
Ages 8+ from 6:15–7pm

*NEW* Jazz Jam - Friday March 27th

You’re invited to the first-ever Sunburst Jazz Jam Session! Whether you’re a total beginner, an experienced pro, or a music lover who just wants to listen. This space is for everyone to have fun, grow, and connect through music.

This group will meet every 4th Friday from 7–9pm and is for ages 14 to adults.

If you'd like to play, please review our provided list of jazz standards. Anyone is welcome to join in, but we ask that those taking the stage familiarize themselves with at least one tune from the list.

Sunburst Cabaret Recap

Love was in the air the night of our Sunburst Cabaret! Our students and teachers swooned us with love songs to kick off Valentine’s Day weekend. We heard a variety of tunes from jazz standards to pop ballads to classical pieces. Congratulations to all the performers for sharing their incredible talent with us, and thank you to all who attended the show. A special shoutout to our emcee Vicky for bringing the laughs and the Shakespeare vs. Taylor Swift trivia. We look forward to the next Cabaret!

School Closure Reminder

As Spring Break is right around the corner, we want to remind everyone of our billing policy. Your flat monthly tuition includes lessons every week, except when we are closed for holidays (see our calendar). We do not issue makeup credits for these days.
