About piano lessons
Find your rhythm on the keys
Piano is the classic place to start in music, and one of the most versatile instruments to learn. Lessons balance reading, ear training, and healthy technique with the songs that keep you coming back to the bench, whether that's Beethoven, Elton John, or your favorite musical.
Sitting down at the piano gives you instant control over both melody and harmony. Young beginners build fundamentals through games and familiar tunes, while returning adults can brush off old skills or finally learn the pieces they've always wanted to play. For intermediate and advanced pianists, we explore the infinite possibilities of this versatile instrument, whether that means accompanying yourself singing with chord charts and inversions, diving deep into theory, playing in a band, or sound-designing on synthesizers.
When you're ready to share your progress, we encourage all of our piano students to perform on a real stage in our seasonal recitals, and for anyone who would like to take performing a step further, your instructor can help prepare you for playing with other musicians. It's the best way to grow!

Frequently asked questions
Good to know before you book
What happens at a trial lesson?
You'll meet one-on-one with a teacher we match to your age, taste, and goals. You'll play, talk about what you want to learn, and leave with a plan to help reach your goals. Trials run 20 to 60 minutes, cost $25 to $50, and are limited to one per student per instructor.
Do I need a piano at home?
For home practice a basic keyboard is a fine start, and your teacher can recommend one that will grow with you. If you're looking into getting a real piano, ask us for a referral to a local piano mover and tuner.
What ages do you teach?
Kids, teens, and adults, from young beginners to retirees. 20-minute lessons are for ages 4-5, for most older kids we recommend 30-45 minutes, and for adults we recommend 45-60 minutes. For little ones ages 0 to 5, our Music Together® classes are the place to start.
Can I take lessons with a friend or family member?
Yes. Private Group Lessons put two or three friends or family members with one teacher on the same instrument, in the same time slots as our private lessons. Every student in the group pays less than they would for a private lesson of the same length, starting at $110/mo each. See group lesson rates →
What if we need to miss a lesson?
Cancel with at least 24 hours notice (or same-day in case of illness or emergency) and you'll receive a Make Up Pass, valid for 6 months and bookable online.
Do I have to commit to weekly lessons?
No. Weekly plans are month-to-month, and if a plan doesn't fit your schedule you can book drop-in lessons and pay as you go: $45 for 30 minutes, $65 for 45 minutes, $80 for 60 minutes.
Can I take lessons online?
Yes. All of our private lessons are available online via Zoom, and many students mix in-person and online lessons depending on the week.
How do we pick the right teacher?
Our admin team pairs students and teachers based on interests, age, and learning style, and you can browse teacher bios in our booking system. If it's not the right fit, you can switch teachers at any time.
