Staff Recital on April 25th!
Join Us for Sunburst’s 3rd Annual Staff Recital on Saturday, April 25th! This special evening will feature performances by our talented instructors, showcasing their incredible artistry across a variety of musical styles. From classical to contemporary, you’ll experience the same passion and skill that inspire our students every day.

Cost: $10 per ticket
This event is not just an opportunity to enjoy an evening of amazing music, but it is also a chance to support a great cause. All proceeds from ticket sales will go directly to the Sunburst Scholarship Fund, helping provide music education opportunities to students who might not otherwise be able to afford them.

Music Together Spring Enrollment
Enrollment is now open for our Spring Music Together sessions! Classes begin the week of April 6th. Sign up today to join in on the fun!
Mixed-Age Class | Ages 0-5
Join our Music Together Mixed Ages class and experience the joy of making music as children ages 0-5 and their caregivers sing, dance, and play instruments together!
Rhythm Kids | Ages 4-5
Discover the joy of Rhythm Kids Level I, where children ages 4-5 explore drumming, rhythm, and creative music-making in this fun and engaging class!

Reminder: New Summer Camp Dates!
In case you missed it, we added TWO new weeks of summer camps this year! These camps will take place the weeks of June 15-19 and July 13-17. Campers will explore the wide world of music, including playing in a band, writing and recording songs, drum circles, beatmaking, art projects, and more. Each week culminates with a live performance on stage at Sunburst for friends and family.
Spots are filling up quickly, so make sure to enroll soon!
Drum Set Clinic with Matt Price
Join Matt Price at Sunburst on April 18th from 6 - 7:30PM for an interactive drum set clinic for all ages exploring how the right setup, tuning, and technique can transform the way you play and sound.
The clinic will cover:
- Drum set ergonomics – how to position your drum set for comfort, efficiency, and better playing.
- Drum tuning basics – simple ways to get great sounds from your drums.
- Practical technique tips – approaches that improve control, speed, and endurance.
The session will include live demonstrations, interactive examples, and a Q&A with Sunburst instructors.
Whether you're a beginner, a student drummer, or a parent curious about how a drum set works, this clinic offers something for everyone! No sign up is required.
Free Classes this Month
NEW Jazz Jam - Friday April 24th
You’re invited to the Sunburst Jazz Jam for ages 14–adults! Whether you’re a total beginner, an experienced pro, or a music lover who just wants to listen, this space is for everyone to have fun, grow, and connect through music. This group will meet every 4th Friday from 7–9pm.
If you'd like to play, please review our provided list of jazz standards. Anyone is welcome to join in, but we ask that those taking the stage familiarize themselves with at least one tune from the list.
What to Prepare
Music Producers Meet Up - Friday, April 10th
The Sunburst Producers Meet-Up is a free monthly gathering hosted by our instructor Charlie Scott for teen producers ages 14 and up to share their works in progress and receive feedback from peers. This group meets on the second Friday of every month from 7–9pm.
Piano Club - Friday, April 10th
Piano Club will be held one week early this month on April 10th. It is a free monthly class led by Jaime Cohen, full of games, music education, and piano fun! This club is a great opportunity for our piano students to build music theory skills, play interactive games like Music Jeopardy, and gain performance experience.
Age Groups
- Ages 5–7 - 5:30–6:15pm
- Ages 8+ from 6:15–7pm
Songwriter Group Share - Sunday, April 19th
Are you a seasoned or new songwriter looking to share music and get some peer feedback? Bring your instrument, voice, and what you’re working on to our monthly songwriting group, peer facilitated by Abbey Martin. This group is open to all adults ages 18+ and meets on the third Sunday of each month from 3–5pm.

Get a free Sunburst T-shirt when you sign up for private lessons in April. We have our classic logo tee and a limited edition tie dye design. Stop by the front desk after your first lesson to pick out a shirt!
School Closure Reminder
Sunburst will be closed on Memorial Day, May 25. Your flat monthly tuition includes lessons every week, except when we are closed for holidays (see our calendar). We do not issue makeup credits for these days. You can view a full list of our billing and scheduling policies in our Terms and Conditions here.
